The story of Ulinici Winery has its beginnings in the childhood of Nicu Ulinici, the founder and winemaker of the winery. His father was also a winemaker, and Nicu grew up on the winery grounds and among the family vineyards. As a teenager, after his father's winery ceased operations, he began dreaming of a small family winery that would produce wine from the 5 hectares of vines in his father's home village. After many years, during which he managed to open a successful lavender business, whose influence is reflected in the winery's logo, his dream came to life in the form of the Ulinici Winery. Thanks to the accumulated experience, the secrets passed down from father to son and the USAID-funded Competitiveness Project, in 2020 in the village of Valea-Trestieni, Nisporeni district, Crama Ulinici produces wine for the first time. The USAID-funded project provided important equipment for the wine-making process, as well as a mentor who guided Nicu Ulinici to produce exceptional wine.

Ulinici's wines are produced from his own vineyards. The winery's 5 hectares of vineyards are located on a slope near the village and surrounded by pastures. Varieties such as Sauvignon Blanc, Muscat Ottonel, Bianca, Cabernet, Merlot and Saperavi can be found here. The grapes are hand-picked in 10kg crates by the Ulinici family and workers from the village where the winery is located. They are then transported to the winery where, using modern methods, they are transformed into wines of the highest quality. From the first harvest harvested with the intention of producing wine for sale, 1400 bottles of wine were produced. Of these 3 wines are red, 2 white and 1 rose. The wines obtained have a special taste and deep aroma.

The Ulinici winery is just at the beginning of the story, but with successes and ambitions for the future. At the moment they sell the wine produced directly, they also make deliveries and often participate in fairs. After taking part in the international Vinarium competition and national wine tasting competitions, the white and rose wines have enjoyed success and have sold almost all of them in a short period of time. But the dream does not stop here, Nicu Ulinici hopes that in the future, in addition to increasing the number of bottles produced and sold, he will also open an agritourism guesthouse near the vineyards of the winery so that people can enjoy good wine and the beauty and tranquility offered by the countryside of Moldova.

"In turn being an heir in the art of winemaking, I have set out to leave my mark in this field. I dedicate this wine to my son, a future heir in the world of wine" says Nicu Ulinici.
