„We want to produce valuable wine and we are sure that we should look for special wines only in small cellars. Wine is a culture that we want to capitalize on every year. It is probably the only drink with "memory": its taste retains a lot of details, such as the area where the wine comes from, the climate and, first of all, the care that was taken. That's why we try not to miss any detail, to produce a really tasty wine.” Anatol Iurco

The winery was established in 2006 and is the first winery in Moldova in the format of a small producer. The wines have their own character, produced in only 10 ha of vines, the producer is personally involved from cleaning the vines to producing, maturing, bottling and making the product.

The territory on which the Mezalimpe vineyards are located once belonged to the merchant - Baron Dombrov. The wine he produced was known in the area for its special taste qualities. The location of the vineyards is also a special one. On one side is the lake system, which stretches to the Black Sea. On the other side, there is a forest nearby, and below, through a picturesque plain, the Dniester flows.

Mezalimpe has been growing vines and producing wine since 2003, and the name of the company comes from the abbreviation of several vine varieties. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties have been grown in Mezalimpe vineyards since 2004 - the most suitable for the soil and microclimate in the region.

The 10-hectare vineyard was planted in 2004. Two years later, in 2006, the first winery with a processing capacity of 100 tons of grapes was built. The factory is located near the plantation. The equipment is new and of very high performance. In the same year, the first wine of the Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot varieties was produced. The wine is produced in small quantities and is currently kept in collections.

Mezalimpe wines go through meticulous processes until bottling. From the beginning, the amount of grapes per hectare is monitored. Each grape is checked until it is processed. The wine is matured in oak barrels, strictly following the technology.
